There is less than a week till season one of American Horror Story ends and I’m just getting around to writing about it. I didn’t know it would become my favorite show until I my head was spinning around as Violet tried to run out of the house. She was unsuccessful in her attempts, most bizarre to say the least and answering the question of why she hadn’t been to school in 16 days and why there are flies in the house. I think many viewers heads were spinning as she spun around wildly entering the same door continually every time she tried to exit.
American Horror Story is the book you cannot put down. You would read it all night if you weren’t afraid of the dark. I’ve tweeted that I wish it were a soap opera that I could tune into every day. I loved trying to figure who was dead or alive until I figured out the ways of the house early on. One can never be certain though.
At least AHS is a television series and not a two hour movie, or novel with a final page touched by the words The End. No painful restrictions if the show continues to keep its fan base. The only complaint might be it is a bit too racy. Because of this, it will lose some young paranormal fans whose parents would otherwise let them view a little horror. I’m not a prude, but the first episode was a bit over the top with scenes that were not necessary to the story line.
Kudos to the writers, cast and crew…and special mention to Jessica Lange. What an actress.
